About the Artist:

“As a child, I constantly doodled. Combined with a budding attraction with dinosaurs, I was drawing prehistoric beasts all the time. Many museum visits later, I developed a broader appreciation for natural history. After years of serious artistic training, I realized I could pursue a professional career designing art that depicts the things I love. I am particularly interested in wildlife. It captivates me how animals’ anatomy and traits develop for survival in their chosen habitats. In addition, it’s no surprise that I thoroughly enjoy pushing my imagination further by applying these current biological details to a prehistoric world.

“I initially honed my skills traditionally by using a variety of mediums: including gouache, watercolor, and colored pencils. Eventually, I transitioned to digital tools for a more streamlined process. Personal qualities of patience, concentration, and fine attention to detail manifest in a highly polished style that I use to render realistic drawings and paintings. My goal as an artist is to create work that communicates my passion for natural history and sparks others to learn about the importance of the world around us. What started as a childhood hobby, evolved into a rewarding career. I can’t imagine myself being fulfilled or as successful in any other profession!”
